This opportunity is with Handelnine Global, an e-commerce company that owns and operates 15+ online retail brands in over 60 countries. The company is profitable, self-funded and has exhibited strong quarter-on-quarter growth in the last 5 years. The company has offices in India as well as the USA and serves global markets including the UK, USA, Europe, Australia, Middle East and Southeast
Asia. Handelnine Global is currently in a phase of rapid growth with new brands and markets being launched every quarter.
Role and Responsibilities
● Work as a part of the Growth Team while reporting directly to the Growth Head.
● The primary responsibility of this role is to work on inbound leads generated through our online stores globally and close B2B sales for bulk orders of consumer products.
● While our ecommerce websites are promoted as B2C, we regularly receive online enquiries for
B2B and bulk orders from all over the world, across product categories like electronics, beauty
and cosmetics, health and nutrition, home and kitchen, toys and games, fitness, fashion etc.
● The marketing team will drive the inbound lead generation effort and this role is expected to connect with such prospective customers via phone calls and emails.
● You will be responsible for sending out the quotation or proposal and ensure strong follow-up and smart negotiation to close the sale and log the order.
● As the custodian of the entire sales funnel from the first contact to closing of the sale, you will be expected to manage pipelines, build relationships, prioritise contacts and meet deadlines.
● You will be liaising with the internal procurement teams to ensure that we’re sourcing the right products at the right prices, in order to fulfil the customer demand.
● This is a new process and you will be expected to play a crucial role in aligning systems, shaping the process flow and scaling it to a meaningful revenue stream for the organisation.

Needless to say, this is a sales role and will involve accountability to quarterly sales targets.
Desired Candidate Profile
● This is a remote working position and the candidate would be allowed to work from home.
● The ideal candidate is someone with 5-8 years of experience in inside sales, preferably in a
B2B ecommerce environment. Even better if your experience includes global customers.
● The candidate should possess strong commercial awareness, good organisational skills,
critical, analytical and maths skills, as well as basic IT skills for handling Excel, purchase and
inventory software etc.
● We are looking for someone with good communication and strong interpersonal skills,
especially follow-ups and negotiation, to be able to push the procurement team on one side
and target sale closure with the customer on the other. The candidate should be cognizant of
their role in maintaining healthy profits in all transactions.
● Candidates who have worked in fast-paced environments like those of startups or new and
growing business divisions would be preferred.
● The candidate should have excellent project management skills and be willing to take full
ownership of driving this process.● The candidate should share our mindset of working with incremental improvements and must
be open to learn new things quickly. We are looking for someone who can work independently
with a result-focus and is not afraid to experiment within accountability.
● The candidate should be solution-oriented with the ability to think clearly, logically and even
laterally, when presented with a problem. We need someone who can communicate freely and
fluently and can work efficiently in an environment of remote team members.
